Absurd Construction is a collaboration with Ethan Snow and Rachel that exhibited at the Lupin Gallery in Athens, GA. The exhibition was in the guise of an experimental construction site. Conceptually we acted as a construction company that foregrounds alternative building practices by investigating experimental applications for various building materials. We offered pastel silicone corrugated roofing and thin resin plywood as possible material uses that just might just hold up. The work hinged on the ridiculous - can a wall be held up by a foam cushion? Will spray foam work successfully as a supporting beam? In this collaborative material research, we created building solutions through imaginative renderings of what could possibly exist in the world.
